Father's Day lands on June 21st this year — about six weeks out, plenty of time to ship — and if the dad in your life is the kind of guy who keeps a hat on the rack and a folding knife in his pocket, we put together a short list of the pieces from our shop that move the most this time of year.
These are the six Howdywood items dads actually wear. No wishful-thinking gifts. No "thanks, I'll wear it once" sweaters. Just the stuff that ends up in heavy rotation.
1. The Brightsider Tee — the one he'll reach for first
The Brightsider is the piece we built the brand around. Soft, broken-in feel from day one, fits the way a tee should fit a grown man (not boxy, not slim, just right), and the design has the kind of restraint that means he can wear it to a backyard cookout or pair it under a button-down for date night. If you're only getting one gift, get this one.
2. The Champion Long Sleeve — for evening porch sitting
Texas summers are hot, but Texas evenings — especially out west of Fort Worth — can turn cool fast. The Champion long sleeve is the throw-on layer for that exact moment. Heavyweight cotton, gets better the more you wash it.
3. The Columbia Vest — the all-season workhorse
If the dad you're shopping for spends any time outdoors — hunting, fishing, walking the dog at 6 AM in November — the Columbia vest is the most-used piece in his closet. Warm core, free arms, fits under a jacket in winter and over a tee in spring.
4. The 10-Gallon Hat — for the dad who earns it
We don't sell the hat as a costume piece. It's a real hat for the guy who's wearing one anyway. If he's been talking about replacing his beat-up one for two years, this is the answer.
5. The Cowboy Logic Tee — the conversation starter
"Cowboy Logic" has one of the highest reorder rates in the shop, and it's not close. Dads love it because it says something without saying too much. Pairs well with jeans, boots, and a pickup truck.
6. The Crew Sweatshirt — the gift that lasts five years
If you want the safe bet that he'll actually wear every week from October through March, the Howdywood crew sweatshirt is it. Heavy, structured, doesn't pill, looks better at year three than year one.
A note on shipping. Order by Friday, June 12th to have it on his doorstep in time for Father's Day.
Happy Father's Day from the Howdywood team. Tell him the boots look good.
